Interns and Practicum Students
Scholar Specialized Treatment Services, LLC is seeking highly motivated individuals to help expand our efforts in community outreach, business development, clinical operations, training and supervision. We are seeking undergraduate and graduate students who are self-motivated, initiators, flexible, analytical, and have a proven track record with an interest in behavioral health science, treatment, and research. Internship and practicum experiences are available for students enrolled in a human services, behavioral health science, business and/or marketing program. We are especially interested in individuals who are enthusiastic and team oriented with excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, social media, internet, email, public speaking and marketing experience a plus.

Volunteers
Scholar Specialized Treatment Services, LLC offers ongoing volunteer opportunities for individuals who are highly motivated to assist interns, practicum students, clinical staff and administrative staff. All volunteers are considered Associate Scholars and must adhere to the highest degree of confidentiality. All volunteers must attend orientation and pass a background check. Licensed Clinician (Independent Contractor)
Provide individuals, families or vulnerable populations with the psychosocial support needed to cope with chronic and acute addictive diseases and mental health disabilities. Provide individual and group, diagnostic interviewing, and review of patient records. Monitor, evaluate, and record patient progress according to SMART goals and treatment planning. Perform clinical assessments and make treatment recommendations. Provide case management and community resource referrals as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Knowledge of diagnostic impressions or criteria, how the client advocacy system operates, crisis intervention techniques, individual and group therapy, various therapeutic modalities and interventions related to area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of a master’s degree from an accredited school of social work. counseling, psychology, or related field. Current license to practice independently as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT.
